This course is designed to provide practical knowledge and technical skills in electrical system design using AutoCAD for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Participants will learn to create accurate and professional electrical drawings and layouts following industry standards.
Key Objectives:
1. Understand Basic Electrical Design Concepts
• Learn electrical load calculations, single-line diagrams, circuit design principles, and electrical codes (NEC/IEC)
2. Master AutoCAD for Electrical Drafting
• Gain hands-on experience in using AutoCAD tools for creating 2D electrical layouts and schematics
3. Design Internal Electrical Wiring Systems
• Develop detailed plans for lighting, power outlets, switchboards, DB schedules, and cable routing
4. Create Load Distribution & Panel Schedules
• Calculate loads and prepare proper distribution board and panel board layouts
5. Develop Earthing, Lightning, and Conduit Layouts
• Design complete earthing systems, lightning protection layouts, and conduit/cable tray routing plans
6. Understand and Prepare SLD (Single Line Diagram)
• Draft professional single-line diagrams
• Understand component arrangement and circuit flow
7. Apply Electrical Standards & Symbols
• Use standard electrical symbols, layer management, and drawing practices in compliance with industry standards
8. Produce Final Electrical Drawing Sets
• Compile a complete electrical design set including schematic, layout, and detailed drawings ready for site execution
🎓Course Outcome:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to design, draft, and document complete electrical systems using AutoCAD for real-world building projects with confidence and precision.
